Vertebrate pests include the many types of mammals and birds that cause problems for humans. Most people immediately think of rats and mice, but there are other rodents that are also significant pests. Skunks, moles, marmots, squirrels, and voles create issues in the areas where they are found. In addition, there are many birds that can be considered pests—some are actually health hazards.
